01

What would you do out here?

Think about an ordinary day: coffee outside, room for children to play, dinner with friends or somewhere quiet to sit. Choose the three moments you want more of.

02

What gets in the way now?

Name the frustration before choosing the finish. An awkward route, nowhere for the table, too little privacy or a corner you never use gives the conversation a clear starting point.

03

What deserves to stay?

A favourite tree, an established border, a useful shed or a view you love can shape the new garden. A transformation does not have to mean changing everything.

How much care suits your life?

Be honest about the time you want to spend mowing, tending plants and caring for surfaces. Talk about upkeep alongside appearance, not after the materials are chosen.

What should we know about the space?

Note gates and side access, steps and level changes, sunny or shaded areas and any spots where water collects. Photos are helpful; exact measurements can come later.

What matters most in the brief?

Separate essentials from nice-to-haves. Share any budget range and timing you have in mind, or say you need help understanding the options. Ask which decisions need to come first.

From ideas to a useful conversation

A little clearer.
A step closer.

Your answers become a short garden brief. Keep a copy for yourself, or take it into an enquiry to MLG.

Notes are kept in this browser tab so you can return to them. Nothing is sent to MLG until you submit an enquiry.

Look at the complete proposal

Compare the scope.
Then the price.

Two totals can cover very different work. Use these questions to understand what each quotation actually includes.

Explore a complete transformation
  1. 01Does the proposal describe the same area, layout and intended finish?
  2. 02Are preparation, levels and drainage included where needed?
  3. 03Are the materials, quantities and edges clear enough to compare?
  4. 04Does it say what happens to existing surfaces and waste?
  5. 05Are design input, planting and any specialist work included or separate?
  6. 06Are exclusions, the total payable, payment stages and changes explained?

Make the first conversation useful

Bring the garden
you have today.

No need to tidy it or prepare a finished design. A short description and a few everyday photographs can say a lot.

  • The part that frustrates youA closer view of the layout, surface or corner you want to change.
  • The way inShow gates, side access, steps or changes in level. Keep private details out of view.
